More About the Project

Utilizing dozens of wildlife cameras installed and maintained via snowmobile patrols, Karl-Antoine and The Land Guardians from the Van Tat Gwich’in community are investigating population densities, movement patterns, and behaviours of large mammal species. They’re also collecting traditional knowledge through interviews and informal on-the-land interactions. All of this vital research will determine conservation solutions.
