Patrick étudie le réseau trophique arctique, depuis le phytoplancton – des microorganismes essentiels à la santé de l’écosystème marin – jusqu’aux prédateurs de premier rang tels que le béluga. Les fonds serviront à mettre à niveau l’équipement servant à analyser ces microorganismes, pour que Patrick puisse mieux retracer l’évolution de leurs populations dans un climat changeant.
